What will the week look like?
Each day throughout the week will have a theme related to praying for our health. We will be releasing daily devotional videos created by pastors and prayer warriors all across Canada.
At 8:00 PM (EDT) every night, a 30 minute live prayer will be offered that targets the day’s theme as well as interceding on behalf of the prayer requests received. We encourage everyone to join us as we unite in this special time together.

Canada Wide Call to Prayer for our Health
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
As you begin this week of Calling on the LORD in prayer for your own wholistic health and the wholistic health of your family, friends, church family, and other acquaintances:
- Ask God to send the Holy Spirit to teach you in such a fresh and meaningful way what steps you need to take for the Promotion, Restoration, and Protection of your Total Health: mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, financial, and relational.
- And ask Him to cement the message He is teaching you deep into your heart and soul—so deep that you will no longer be the same.
- Pray these prayers on behalf of your family, friends, church family, and other acquaintances.
When you honor Jesus as Lord, your entire life and lifestyle change.
“I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” – Ephesians 3:16-19
“The only security for any soul is right thinking. As a man ‘thinketh in his heart, so is he.’ Proverbs 23:7” (Ministry of Healing, p 491).
- Pray that God will show you what “right thinking” looks like and what thoughts are harmful thoughts, as well as revealing to you when you are engaging in unhealthy self-talk.
- Every moment throughout this week, practice coming to Jesus as you are: happy, sad, worried, peaceful, defeated, or victorious. Jesus gives us the freedom to run to Him always.
Dear Father in Heaven,
You are the Giver of the gift of mental wellness. We thank You for sending Jesus, the Great Physician, to give us the assurance of eternal peace, security, and confidence as we trust in Him to remove all our inner turmoil, worries, stress, depression, and anxiety. We choose to believe that this gift of salvation and righteousness is ours now because You have promised in Your Word, and that we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. We ask Your Son, Jesus, to come into our hearts and minds by faith, to be our Friend, Savior, and Lord. We confess our sins and claim His forgiveness and cleansing from all our unrighteousness. Thank you that we can be sure about our eternal life with Jesus our Savior. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Today, we will focus on our spiritual health.
- Ask God to search your heart and remove any roadblocks, so that He can send the Holy Spirit to baptize you afresh each day. Pray that He would give you a hunger and thirst for that baptism today and daily.
- Additionally, ask God to send the Holy Spirit to teach you the Word of God in such a fresh and meaningful way that you will love to honor Jesus as your Lord because His love has truly captured your heart.
Take some time to pray through the five steps to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
- Come to Jesus thirsting and believing in Him (John 7:37–39).
- Repent (Acts 2:38).
- Be baptized with water (Acts 2:38).
- Obey God (Acts 5:32).
- Ask God the Father for this Gift of the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13).
- Every day ask for and receive a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit.
- Practice receiving this Gift by faith, not by feeling.
- Follow His lead.
- And keep asking for more!
Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
Today, we will focus on our physical health.
- Ask God to send the Holy Spirit to teach you in such a fresh and meaningful way what steps you need to take for the Promotion, Restoration, and Protection of your Physical Health.
- Pray on behalf of your family, friends, church family, and other acquaintances.
“…whatever promotes physical health, promotes the development of a strong mind and a well-balanced character. Without health no one can as distinctly understand or as completely fulfill his obligations to himself, to his fellow beings, or to his Creator. Therefore, the health should be as faithfully guarded as the character” (Education, pg. 195).
“Transgression of physical law is transgression of the moral law; for God is as truly the author of physical laws as He is the author of the moral law. His law is written with His own finger upon every nerve, every muscle, every faculty, which has been entrusted to man. And every misuse of any part of our organism is a violation of that law” (Christ’s Object Lessons, pp. 347-348).
“As in the natural, so in the spiritual world: every power unused will weaken and decay. Activity is the law of life; idleness is death” (Christ’s Object Lessons, pg. 364).
Today, we will focus on our relational health.
“The restoration and uplifting of humanity begins in the home.” – Ministry of Healing, pg. 349
- Ask God to give you fresh eyes to see the needs of your family members. Pray that He will show you how to love and serve each member of your family intentionally and sacrificially and how to call them, with you, back to God, if they have wandered away.
- Ask God: What would You love to do with our families, our church families, our friendships, and all of our other relationships at work and within our communities before Jesus returns to take us all home?
- Ask The LORD: What filter should we use for all our conversations?
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:29–32
“The greatest evidence of the power of Christianity that can be presented to the world is a well-ordered, well-disciplined family. This will recommend the truth as nothing else can, for it is a living witness of its practical power upon the heart” (The Adventist Home, pg. 32).
- We find both the greatest love and the greatest hurt within families.
- Ask the LORD to remind you: Who are we really fighting against when we have conflict in our home and family and other relationships?
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” – Ephesians 6:12
- Ask God to do heart surgery on you to remove any bitterness toward any specific person.
- Ask God to completely free you from resentment.
- Ask God to give you a new heart of love and forgiveness and to flood your heart with the Holy Spirit.
“Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened.”- Matthew 7:7-8
Today, we will focus on our financial health.
- Ask God to send the Holy Spirit to teach you in such a fresh and meaningful way what steps you need to take for the Promotion, Restoration, and Protection of your Financial Wellbeing.
- Ask the LORD to take away any anxious, troubled thoughts that cause you to fear regarding your finances.
- Ask The LORD to give you His peace and an abiding trust in His ability to provide as you face each new day.
- Ask God to teach you, in whatever state you are, to be content. (Philippians 4:11)
- Ask the LORD to keep you and your family free from debt. “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is a servant to the lender.” – Proverbs 22:7
- Ask the LORD to instill in your heart the principle of generosity and the ability to save and choose wise investment strategies so that you can give to just causes from a base of financial security.
- Ask the LORD to keep you faithful in returning your tithes and offerings.
- Pray these prayers on behalf of your family, friends, church family, and other acquaintances as well as for yourself.
Jesus is not Lord of your life unless He’s also Lord of all your resources: your TIME, your ENERGY, and your MONEY.
- “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.” – 1 Timothy 6:7-8
- “Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day long.” – Psalm 25:4- 5
- “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” – Proverbs 21:5
- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5,6
Today, we will focus on our emotional health.
Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
Ask God to grant you all that you need for emotional healing.
- You can pray the following prayer: “Dear God, I come to you today with a broken heart, feeling overwhelmed and struggling with my emotions. These emotional scars seem to be the worst kind of illness. I ask for Your healing and guidance as I navigate these difficult feelings. Lord, I feel as though I am paralyzed in my relationships. The very people I should have been able to trust have inflicted these deep emotional scars. I can’t continue to live like this. These scars are affecting all my relationships, making it difficult to have healthy relationships with anyone. I need Your help. Give me the strength to let go of anything causing me pain and the courage to face my fears. Help me to find peace and comfort in Your love and to trust in Your plan for my life. I pray for the wisdom to understand my emotions and the grace to heal and grow from them. Please, LORD, guide me on how You want me to navigate this healing. If You want me to work with a Christian professional, please, show me who I should see. I have total faith in Your ability to heal me, and I know You work through Christian professionals too. Show me the way to go. I trust in Your power to heal and restore my mind and heart. In Your precious name, Lord Jesus, I pray, Amen.”
- Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
- Ask God to help you accept the invitation of Jesus to: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30
- “Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. Prayer does not bring God down to us but brings us up to Him. When Jesus was upon the earth, He taught His disciples how to pray. He directed them to present their daily needs before God, and to cast all their care upon Him. And the assurance He gave them that their petitions should be heard, is assurance also to us” (Steps to Christ, pg. 93).
- “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” – Psalm 46:10
Today, we will praise the LORD for His abundant mercies and thank Him for hearing and answering our prayers.
- Ask God to fill your heart with gratitude and praise for all the work He has promised in His Word to do to promote, protect, and restore our mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, financial, and relational health.
- “It isgood to give thanks to the Lord.” – Psalm 92:1
- Psalm 100:4 –“Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name!”
- “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His steadfast love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1
- “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
” Nothing tends more to promote health of body and of soul than does a spirit of gratitude and praise. It is a positive duty to resist melancholy, discontented thoughts and feelings—as much a duty as it is to pray.” – The Ministry of Healing, pg. 251
