WHY IS THE WORLD AT WAR?
We hear about war in the news, and various organizations tell us there are between 27 and 59 live global conflicts in the world right now. Of those worsening are the conflicts in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Yemen, Myanmar, Somalia, and Ethiopia.
The Bible makes a bold statement: “They chose new gods; then there was war in the gates” (Judges 5:8 NKJV).
What new gods do you see popping up in your world?
I know in the various circles I am exposed to the list is legion: from alternative, new age and occult religions to counterfeit forms of Christianity to the endless pull of self-worship, making an idol of everything from position to power to popularity, from success to status to scholarship, fame, fortune, fornication…you name it.
Godly principles are under attack by the enemy of God, and society is decaying into chaos—and that decay is predictable, purposeful, and a strategic goal of the enemies of good.
Not surprisingly, chaos is the unavoidable result of destroying within the hearts and minds of people the truth about God, the truth that you and I are created in the image of our incredible God of love, and replacing it with a variety of godless theories that are all rooted in the lie that there is no God and that humans evolved from random chaotic forces of evolution. They teach that chaotic forces are the source of life and that we bear the image of wild animals in which only the strongest survives: only the most vicious and the most willing to kill competitors prosper.
The Bible predicts that as the second coming of Christ approaches, those who have rejected the Creator God will lead this world into chaos.
As godlessness and lawlessness spreads and people harden their hearts to the Holy Spirit, His Spirit respects their choice and is slowly withdrawn from the earth.
Without God’s restraining power, chaos increases and there will be wars as society experiences ever-increasing violence, corruption, vulgarity, and human defilement. Jesus warned that: “You will continually hear of wars and rumors of wars….For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places” (Matthew 24:6-7 AMP).
In mercy, God allows this to occur gradually, increasing in severity and intensity just as birth pains, to provide real-time evidence of how reality works so that every human being has the opportunity to see for themselves what happens when people reject God and His orderly design for life.
Disorder in society causes anxiety, terror, and harm; whereas order brings calm, peace, and health, which is only possible by living in harmony with God’s laws for life.
If people are willing, The LORD promises: “I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people” (Hebrews 8:10).
Every day at It Is Written Canada we reach into the homes of Canadians through internet and television transmissions inviting people to choose God, to choose order, and to choose life by asking the LORD of life to write His laws of love and life into their hearts and minds.
We are so thankful to you for your ongoing encouragement, prayers, and financial support of this life-changing ministry. Through keeping It Is Written Canada on the air, countless Canadians have the opportunity of experiencing the abundant life that is found in Jesus Christ in a way that is personal and relevant. Thank you for partnering with us especially at this critical time when people are so anxious, afraid, and uncertain about the future.

Self-Saucing Banana Pudding Cake
Ingredients:
-
1½ cups oat flour
-
½ cup almond flour
-
¹⁄ cup coconut sugar
-
1½ teaspoons baking powder
-
½ teaspoon baking soda
-
½ teaspoon cinnamon
-
¼ teaspoon salt
-
1 cup mashed banana (about 2 and ½ bananas)
-
½ cup almond milk
-
2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
-
1 teaspoon vanilla
-
¾ cup water
-
½ cup coconut sugar
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together the oat flour, almond flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Add the mashed bananas, almond milk, melted coconut oil, and vanilla. Mix until well combined. The batter will be thick.
Pour the batter into a 10×7-inch baking dish and spread using a spoon to flatten. Set aside.
In a small saucepan, warm the water over medium heat. Once warm, remove from heat and add the coconut sugar to the water. Whisk until the sugar is almost fully dissolved.
Slowly pour the sugar water over the pudding batter. I recommend pouring it over the back of a spoon, this way you won’t make holes in the batter and distribute it more evenly.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until the top looks cooked. Remove from heat and let cool for 5-10 minutes. You will end up with a moist banana cake with a thick sauce at the bottom. Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream.
This pudding cake will keep for up to 3 days covered in the refrigerator. To reheat: cover with foil and reheat in a 350°F preheated oven for 10 minutes.
