Upcoming Episodes

Nikolas and Mary Coursey will share their powerful story of how they were able to conquer the unthinkable when their 6-year-old son, Nico was diagnosed with childhood cancer. A story filled with faith and assurance!

Pastor Mike and René Lemon were honored to spend time with Vas Pejcinovski, whose wife, son, and youngest daughter were murdered. Vas has learned to cope with his immense grief and console Victoria, his eldest child and only surviving family member. Join us as we witness how his acceptance of God’s love helped Vas to become a baptized, born-again Seventh-day Adventist Christian and forgive the accused killer.

Pastor Mike and René Lemon had the privilege of interviewing Gem Castor, a missionary whose message is “absolute reliance” upon the power of God.

FRAGRANT WORDS

Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, is my role model because I really do admire how she chose to sit at Jesus’ feet in order to be sanctified by His grace. Jesus spoke these encouraging words about Mary: “But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken from her” (Luke 10:42). Her relationship with the Saviour was so real and so pure.

Jesus had released her from Satan’s chains; He had set her free from bondage. He gave her hope; He gave her a new heart, and her gratefulness towards Him overflowed with joy. That is why she desired to be in His presence; she adored talking to Jesus and telling Him about her dreams. She trusted Him, believed in Him, and loved Him. She yearned to be near to Jesus and wanted to honour Him always.

That is what she did. She sacrificed. She broke the alabaster flask and spilled the fragrant gift upon His living form.

Imagine how, while on the cross, the perfumed fragrance comforted Jesus with its sweetness. It warmed His heart with the assurance of her faith and love.

At His burial, its sweetness permeated the tomb, yet Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus offered no gift of love to Jesus in His life, and with bitter tears they brought their costly spices for His cold, unconscious form.

While spending time with Jesus this morning I read these comforting and challenging words: “There are many who bring their treasured gifts for the dead. As they stand about the cold, silent form, words of love are freely spoken. Tenderness, appreciation, devotion, all are lavished upon one who neither sees nor hears. Had these words been spoken when the weary spirit needed them so much, when the ear could hear and the heart could feel, how precious would have been their fragrance.” – The Desire of Ages, pg. 560

So, I want to challenge you, please take time today to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. I want to challenge you to bless others with your fragrant words.

Every day at It Is Written Canada we reach into the homes of Canadians, and people throughout the world, through internet and television transmissions with the fragrant, life-giving words from God’s holy Word. We are so grateful, and we thank you for your ongoing encouragement, prayers, and financial support of this life-changing ministry. Ministry in Action

We would like to welcome Michael Dauncey to our team here as It Is Written Canada. He prefers to be called “Dauncey,” but we call him “AMAZING” because he is an amazing addition to our team. Not only does he do fantastic video production, but he is an ordained pastor from British Columbia. And we all know that only good things come from BC!

Although COVID-19 has barged into our world and unsettled our lives, we know that we can have perfect peace when we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. At It Is Written Canada we want to thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement as you enable us to work tirelessly to do all that we can to help people across Canada to keep their faith in Jesus robust and resilient especially at this time.

Pastor Mike and René have been working with Dauncey to create online materials to help people during this lockdown period. The Lord has provided professionals to assist them.

Health Nugget

“PERFECT HEALTH REQUIRES PERFECT CIRCULATION” (Ministry of Healing, pg. 293).

The circulatory system loves exercise. It promotes and improves blood flow, making the circulatory system robust and healthy.

  • Exercise promotes blood-vessel health: It makes our blood vessels flexible – we don’t want stiff blood vessels. When vessels are flexible, they have elastic properties, which gives them the ability to constrict and dilate when presented with changes in volume and pressure.
  • Exercise reduces the risk of heart disease: Circulation improves vascular hormone production. It increases the production of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), the vascular hormone that counterbalances high blood pressure.
  • Exercise makes the heart bigger and stronger: Cardiovascular endurance training, like power walking, running or rowing makes the chambers of the heart get bigger.
